// The other kind of night

The BlackBox is the sealed, serious room — ranked Counter-Strike, recorded, nothing imported. This isn't that. The rigzHouse LAN is the other kind of night: bring a tower and a sleeping bag, drag the desks together, and play everything until the sun comes up. Doom co-op. A CS mix. Quake rockets across the room. Whatever's fun at 4am. No bracket, no camera, no point to prove — just the reason any of us started.

What It Is

A proper old-school LAN. Machines in a row, cables everywhere, the good chaos. You bring the rig; we bring the room, the network, and the questionable snacks.

  1. Bring your own computer. Tower, monitor, peripherals, a long enough kettle lead. We sort power, tables, wired network and zero-ping servers on the night.
  2. Everyone's games. The rigzHouse servers are on tap — HELLHOUSE Doom co-op, SLIPGATE Quake, a friendly CS mix — plus whatever the room votes to fire up next. Retro nights on the cards too.
  3. All night. Doors don't really close. Food runs, floor space for a few hours' sleep, and the kind of 4am rounds you actually remember.
  4. Small and ours. A room of mates and the mates they vouch for — not a ticketed mega-event. It grows the way it should: by who turns up.

The First One

The first rigzHouse LAN is being planned now — venue, date and headcount still being worked out. No ticket, no pre-sale. Drop your name and you'll get the word the moment it's set. One message when there's a date. Nothing else.

The Roll

Every rigzHouse LAN gets logged here after the fact — who came, what got played, what became legend. The book starts empty. Chapter one is being written.

// Awaiting the first night

No LANs on the record yet. When the first one runs, its night lands here — the scoreline, the story, the names. Turn up to the first and you're in the opening chapter for good.
